22 year old actor Enari Kazuki will star in a TV Asahi live action adaption of Fujio Fujiko’s Doraemon manga. This marks live action adapation first for the series. Tentatively titled “Gimon. Nanmon. Doraemon! Oshie Te Gurume Nazo Toki SP ” will debut on March 25th.

Eg has a rundown of a new line of Evangelion themed Pinky:St - Pinky:cos by GSI Clothes VANCE PROJECT that were shown off at Wonder Festival this past weekend. “Evangelion Pinky Ver.2″ will go on sale this summer in Japan. Interestingly, the set of 4 features Asuka, Rei, and 2 characters we’ve never heard of before. Variants include plugsuit version and school uniform version. Each is about 10cm in overall height, price is 2,000 Yen for the set.

Gainax has an image of the production sheets of Japan Post’s new Evengelion stamp series which went on sale in Japan on the 23rd. A sheet of 10 stamps is 800 yen, or you can buy individually for 80 yen per stamp. The series features illustrations of the Eva Unit 0 and 1 machines, hero Ikari Shinji, heroine Ayamani Rei, and Shinji holding the injured Rei. This latest edition follows a long line of anime related stamps from series such as “Gundam” and “Pokemon”, “Galaxy Expess 999″, and “Great Detective Conan”.

Fate/stay night Realta Nua has officially been announced for PS2 release. The format will be in the visual novel style sans the adult content of the PC versions. Release is set for April 19th, retail is 9,240 Yen. A special release “Extra Edition” will include a PSP disc with the games Tobidase! Trouble Hanafuda Douchuuki and Bust of the character Saber.

Bandai’s Lalabit Market is marketing a newly designed, fully functional motorcycle helmet based on the red Char Zaku Custom MS from the original Gundam series. Retail is 28,800, release is planned in the spring in Japan.

If you already know us we would like to thank you for your warm support and understanding since the day we opened, in July of 2006. By using this Blog provided by japani.no we will keep you informed about our upcoming products, Japan News, Conventions and events about the store.
If you have never heard of us, new to this community, or this is the first time that you have come here then we would like to take the time to tell you exactly what Neo Tokyo is all about.
1.What is Neo Tokyo?
A shop were you can get Japanese Anime/Manga related products with great service. We also have J-POP J-Rock CDs, T-shirts, Posters, Magazines, Artbooks, Plush dolls, and jewelry. We do Cosplay orders so you can dress up as your favorite game, anime or manga characters. If you don’t see what you want just ask us or send us an email, we can try to get it for you.

We are open 6 days a week from 12:00~18:00 on Mondays, 11:00~18:00 Fridays, and 11:00~17:00 on Saturdays. On Sunday we are closed.
Our web shop is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Online you can buy anytime.
4.Who is Neo Tokyo?
Neo Tokyo is run by people who love Manga/Anime and Japanese culture. We are pretty friendly people, so just come down and meet us! We speak Japanese, English, and some Norweigan.

“Appleseed Saga Ex Machina”, a new full 3DCG film set in the Appleseed world is set for a Fall, 2007 theatrical debut in Japan. It’s being directed by Shinji Aramaki and produced by John Woo. The recently released PS2 title will have some undisclosed connections to the new film.

A few days back the official SOS Brigade Japanese website at www.sosbrigade.com scaled back on content volume significantly and rather unexpectantly. There now, one can view only a single page place holder. This occured around the same time that a blurb was made at the official Haruhi Suzumiya series site, mentioning members would be contacted about some “activity schedule” to occur in February.
All this comes as a large sold out 4 hour event is scheduled to occur in Saitama, Japan on March 2nd featuring the entire main cast including Hirano Aya (Haruhi), Sugita Tomokazu (Kyon), Gotou Yuuko (Mikuru), Chihara Minori (Yuki), Ono Daisuke (Itsuki), Yuki Matsuoka (Tsuruya-san), Aoki Sayaka (Kyon’s imouto), and Shiraishi Minoru (Taniguchi). Hirano Aya recently posted a picture of herself practicing God Knows on the guitar to her blog. It’s speculated Chihara Minori play guitar live there with her. There’s a great deal of specualtion in Japanese fan circles that a large announcement on the future of the anime may be made here.
